For Mac App Store downloads, Apple’s Standard EULA applies unless a custom license agreement is provided.
Apple Standard EULALast updated: September 24, 2026
These terms describe App Box's permanently free core features, optional Pro features, subscriptions, and lifetime purchase. Versions obtained through the Mac App Store are subject to Apple's standard End User License Agreement (EULA) unless a separate custom agreement is provided. This description does not replace that agreement or limit consumer rights under applicable law. Versions obtained elsewhere are subject to the license conditions supplied through that channel; linking to Apple's standard EULA here does not automatically make it apply.
App use and data
App Box indexes, searches for, opens, and organizes apps on your Mac. Folders, ordering, and shortcuts in the list affect only App Box's local configuration. They do not move or delete installed apps. When you drag an app into other software, that software determines how the file is handled. Confirm any file operations in the receiving software.
Use App Box only on devices and with apps you are authorized to use. Rights to third-party apps, names, and icons remain with their respective owners. App Box does not represent those developers or grant licenses to their apps. Importing a configuration replaces the current layout; keep any independent backups you need.
Free core features and App Box Pro
Basic app launching, search, organization, global keyboard shortcuts, menu bar and Dock access, the system theme, and layout settings are free forever. On first launch of a version that supports introductory Pro access, Pro features are also available on that Mac for 7 continuous days. No purchase is needed, and there is no automatic charge when this access ends. The core features above remain free afterward.
Pro features include triggers at all four corners and the left and right edges, more themes, and appearance customization. After introductory access ends, you may subscribe or buy lifetime access to keep using those Pro features. Saved theme and trigger settings are kept. The access record is separate from configuration, so resetting App Box does not restart the introductory period. This access is separate from any Apple auto-renewable subscription offer.
Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
Monthly subscriptions last one month per billing period; yearly subscriptions last one year. Both provide the premium features above while active. The App Store supplies prices and currency for your region. The selected plan and billing period are shown before purchase; the Apple confirmation screen determines the actual payment. Confirmed purchases are charged to your Apple Account.
Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn off renewal at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple may charge for renewal within the final 24 hours of the current period. View or cancel a subscription in Purchases → Manage Subscriptions. Access usually continues until the end of the paid period after cancellation; check your Apple Account for the actual subscription status.
Deleting App Box, resetting it, or switching to free features does not cancel an Apple subscription. Apple handles price changes, plan changes, and any required consent under its applicable rules.
Lifetime purchase, restoration, and refunds
Lifetime access is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that unlocks the premium features described above without renewal payments. It does not automatically cancel an existing monthly or yearly subscription. Cancel any existing subscription in your Apple Account to avoid further renewal charges.
After reinstalling, or when using a supported Mac, you can restore purchases in Purchases with the Apple Account used to buy them. Access depends on transactions verified by Apple. Pending approval, failed verification, refunds, or revocations can affect premium feature availability. Basic free features remain available without a valid paid entitlement.
Apple handles refund requests for App Store purchases. Use Request a Refund from Apple on this page. The outcome depends on Apple's review and applicable law. These terms do not exclude any refund or other remedy you are legally entitled to.
Support and changes
App Box supports macOS 13 or later. Some behavior may be affected by system permissions, accessibility settings, keyboard shortcut conflicts with other software, or store service availability. See Help for usage guidance. For support, use the developer contact channel in About or the channel provided when you obtained App Box.
We will update this description and its date when features or rules change. Changes affecting existing paid access will follow Apple's applicable rules and applicable law. These terms do not remove rights you have already lawfully acquired.
